Our Monarch as a sovereign and imperialistic monarchial institution that embraces Independence and authority, political structure, cultural identity as per section 235 of The South African Constitution. The Monarch is based on the Bataung Lemathiyane Dynasty  of ba Letopa, ama Ngozwana, Abo Nkabini, Ba Motaung Duchy of Lehae. The formation of the Monarch is based on the registration of the Bataung Mathiyane Dynasty Monarch Trust which is a sovereign Trust (Trust) and Koulehae Business Trust.

 

In October 2016 The Bataung Mathiyane Foundation entered into constitutional agreement with The Lehae Mathiyane Monarch. In 2016 His Imperial Majesty Nana Lord Letopa The Second proclaimed the traditional monarchy in Brits, North West Province, Republic of South Africa. Later in 2023 The Monarch decided to move to the Gauteng Province in Meyerton. 

 

The Lehae Mathiyane Monarch is acclaimed and crowned by His Imperial Majesty Nana Lord Letopa II. This monarch is a mixed of absolute traditional Monarch and Constitutional Monarch. The establishment of this Monarch is based on the written our constitution and in alignment to the South Africa constitution. The Lehae Mathiyane Monarch is based of the community tribal norms of Bataung Lemathiyane Clan. 

 

This Monarch is a self proclaimed monarchy as established in France by Napoleon I and a constitutional monarchy like The Vatican City. 

 

Timelines 

18:12: Bataung is the most senior tribe of Bantu origin which descends from its ancestor Mohurutshe and which speaks the Sotho from Matsoku, Mokhotlong District of Lesotho. 

1918: Epidemic Flu impacted the Ngozwana clan 

1960: Nkabini AboMcusi clan family fight and some members went to exile.

1977: Lord Letopa I as per Highlands Title, GLENCOE WOOD, HIGHLAND, SCOTLAND Plot number A610914. Registered on Record General Register of Sasines. 

2012: The establishment of the Bataung Lemathiyane Dynasty. 

2023: Purchase of land for new Palace in Meyerton
